Ebiz Mistake: Are You Trying Too Much At Once?

I got an email recently from a reader who was trying a lot of stuff..and by stuff I mean a lot of different ways to make money from the internet, but failing.

He also relayed his feelings to me that in this way...

"Sometimes I feel like I'm a mile wide and an inch deep by trying to many different things. Since you seem to be doing well, what do you recommend?"

This is how I answered.

"Thanks for your email.

I mainly focus on one market..and that's the "help beginners learn internet business" ...

There are so many ways to go about marketing online that we want to do them all and that's where so many fail...kind of like how you say we feel like we're in a mile wide but only an inch deep.

It's best to choose one market/niche and focus solely on that. "

The internet has so many opportunities to make money that it's easy to get distracted by all the new shiny offers and opportunities that come our way.

The only way to be successful with our online business is to focus all our energies, resources and skills to one business...and not even contemplate chasing after another before we succeed at the first one.

So the real point to this is don't spread yourself too thin. Develop your skills and pour in effort into one business at a time.

Just like an Olympic athlete doesn't try to get the gold in every sport in the games, successful business entrepreneurs achieve and excel in one business venture at a time.
